University of Montana Rodeo Gear
The University of Montana Rugby Club (UMRFC) was founded in the Fall of 1968 by Henry Bird, a journalism student freshly arrived from Ireland. The club played its first match on May 10, 1969, in Canada against the University of Calgary. In 1971 the players chose green and gold as the official team colors. In the ealry 1980s, the club adopted the name "Jesters" and introduced a new emblem: a skull wearing a jester's hat, inspired by Shakespeare's Macbeth.
