Last year, we had the opportunity to design officially licensed gear for both The University of Montana and Montana State University for Brawl of the Wild, and it became one of the highlights of our entire year. Getting to create apparel for the rivalry that defines this state felt like another level of what “Wear Your Roots” really means.
And this year, we get to do it again… only bigger.
For 2025, we are releasing new BOTW apparel for both fan bases, featuring retro-inspired logos, throwback mark styles, and a look that celebrates the eras that built this rivalry into what it is today. We wanted this year’s gear to feel timeless. Not trendy. Not overly modern. But rooted, like something you could have pulled out of your dad’s old college trunk or a vintage box in the attic.
Whether you rep the Griz or the Cats this rivalry is personal. It runs through Montana families, Montana towns, and Montana history. Some homes are split, some cities switch colors depending on the zip code, and everyone has a side they stand on proudly.
So this BOTW launch isn’t just about a game. It’s about tradition. It’s about identity. It’s about where you come from.
Apparel for both schools have been released tees, hoodies, crews and more - all built to last and designed to honor the legacy behind the state’s biggest rivalry.
